Every year I attend a Starparty at Avnø Naturcenter.
It is an old airfield – completely free horizon and very dark sky.
A fantastic place to observe from – most of the time.

We were a group doing Astrophotography.
Wonderful dark and transparent sky.

But suddenly the wind started to pick up and
soon the wind was so strong that we all had to stop imaging.
We still had a wonderful clear sky – but useless.

The only windshield on the airfield was the Hangar, but we were all set up on the windy side.

I decided to move behind the Hangar.
No leveling or polar alignment was needed so -
I was back on the target in 20 minutes.

All the polar aligned mounts gave up - spending time leveling and polar aligning again was too much.

I got some great images from that night thanks to my Panther Mount.
